Gopalan Enterprises Launches Major Copper Manufacturing Facility in Bengaluru

Gopalan Enterprises has inaugurated a significant addition to India’s industrial landscape with the launch of Gopalan Metals (India), a state-of-the-art copper manufacturing facility situated in the Hoskote industrial area of Bengaluru. This facility marks a substantial step forward in domestic manufacturing capability, boasting an impressive annual production capacity of 6,000 metric tonnes (MT) of copper.

Initially targeting a production output of 3,000 MT, Gopalan Metals (India) is poised to play a pivotal role in meeting the growing demand for copper products across various sectors. The company has projected revenues of Rs 270 crore for the fiscal year 2025, driven by robust domestic and international market demands.

The facility is set to manufacture a diverse range of copper products including rods, flats, and wires. These products are crucial components serving a wide array of industries such as cables, transformers, automobiles, electronics, solar energy, and railways. By the end of 2024, the facility plans to expand its production line to include domestic cables, further solidifying its position in the market.

Gopalan Metals (India) aims to significantly reduce India’s reliance on imported copper, addressing supply chain challenges and supporting the nation’s initiatives towards self-sufficiency in critical manufacturing sectors. The strategic location of the facility in Bengaluru underscores its accessibility to major markets and logistical advantages, ensuring efficient distribution and delivery of its products both domestically and internationally.
