Sri City Attracts ₹20,250 Crore Investments in 2025, Strengthens Manufacturing Hub Status

Integrated business city Sri City in Andhra Pradesh marked a landmark year in 2025, securing investments worth Rs 20,250 crore through 43 memoranda of understanding, reinforcing its stature as one of India’s most dynamic manufacturing and business destinations. The achievement reflects sustained investor confidence, policy stability, and the region’s growing appeal among global and domestic enterprises across sectors increasingly so.

A significant Rs 11,750 crore of the total investment was secured during the Confederation of Indian Industry Partnership Summit held in Visakhapatnam, underscoring Sri City’s prominence on national investment platforms and its ability to convert intent into execution. The summit also facilitated direct engagement between policymakers and investors, accelerating decision making and strengthening long term industrial partnerships for future expansions across manufacturing and services ecosystems within Andhra Pradesh and beyond.

Operational momentum remained strong during the year, with 15 new companies commencing production, including five inaugurated during the summit and ten launched at other milestones across the year. A major highlight came in May when LG Electronics began construction of its manufacturing facility, signalling long term commitment to the region. Additional investments by global suppliers further expanded the industrial ecosystem and strengthened supply chains locally for export oriented growth strategies.

Further milestones included specialty steel manufacturer Proterial establishing operations, Daikin reinforcing its supply chain presence, and Kobelco Construction Equipment rolling out its 20,000th excavator from the facility. The launch of a large scale liquid nitrogen storage tank by VRV Asia Pacific also reflected growing sophistication of industrial infrastructure, supporting advanced manufacturing and export readiness across electronics automotive and heavy engineering segments in the integrated township with global benchmarks firmly established.

With rising international recognition, Sri City hosted delegations from Japan, Australia, Korea and other countries, reinforcing its global connectivity and investor outreach. Founder Ravindra Sannareddy outlined an ambitious vision for 2026, targeting 500 companies and employment generation of 1.5 lakh jobs within the city. This growth trajectory aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s broader industrial policy and infrastructure led economic development strategy, positioning Sri City as a long term engine of regional prosperity for investors manufacturers and communities alike across sectors nationwide
