RPP Infra Projects Ltd has received a major contract from the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) for an amount of ₹108.80 crore. It had bagged a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for a project with extensive construction and infrastructure development work at the SIPCOT Mega Leather Park in Panapakkam, Ranipet.

The contract will cover the construction of a Customs office, medical facility, administrative and support buildings, and a warehouse. Moreover, the development will provide plug-and-play infrastructure to ensure businesses can establish an operation quickly. RPP Infra will also undertake the construction of a complete water supply system along with a compound wall to secure the boundary wall of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

The Superintending Engineer of SIPCOT, which operates under the state, awarded the contract. The move comes amid the state’s efforts to strengthen industrial infrastructure and draw more investments. Scheduled for completion in 15 months, the project is set to augment the region’s industrial capacity, especially within the leather industry.

The SIPCOT Mega Leather Park is one in a series of projects aimed at developing Ranipet as an industrial hub in Tamil Nadu. This park will provide a substantial economic boost and employment opportunities in the region.

RPP Infra has a solid order book with contract wins in the arena of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for public infrastructure projects across India. A well-known project implementer across diverse sectors like buildings, water management, and transportation, the SIPCOT Mega Leather Park project reaffirms the company’s well-versed experience in the construction and infrastructure domain.

This new order not only testifies to RPP Infra’s capabilities but also conforms to the company’s strategy to consolidate its presence in Tamil Nadu’s booming industrial sector. The company plans to leverage the project further as a revenue generator and bolster its southern presence in the country as it continues.
