Global logistics real estate developer Prologis has commenced construction of Prologis Park Redhills CPRR in North Chennai, marking a significant addition to Tamil Nadu’s growing warehousing and industrial infrastructure landscape.

The upcoming Grade A logistics and industrial park is being developed on a 51-acre site along the Chennai Peripheral Ring Road corridor at Redhills. Once completed, the project will offer a total development potential of 1.1 million square feet, catering to the rising demand for premium warehousing, e-commerce fulfilment centres, and industrial storage facilities in the Chennai region.

This development marks Prologis’ third strategic location in Tamil Nadu after its existing presence in Hosur and Sriperumbudur, two of the state’s key industrial and manufacturing hubs. With this addition, Prologis’ total investment footprint in Tamil Nadu now stands at around ₹3,300 crore, spanning nearly 6.5 million square feet across major logistics corridors.

The first phase of Prologis Park Redhills CPRR will comprise two buildings with a combined area of approximately 4.12 lakh square feet. Construction activities are currently under way, and the company expects the first phase to be completed by the third quarter of 2027.

Industry observers believe the Redhills and CPRR belt is fast emerging as a preferred destination for logistics and warehousing investments due to its strategic connectivity to Chennai Port, Ennore Port, industrial clusters, and arterial road networks. The location is expected to significantly improve freight movement efficiency and support last-mile distribution for businesses operating in and around Chennai.

With continued infrastructure development and industrial expansion in North Chennai, the Prologis project is expected to further strengthen the city’s position as one of India’s leading logistics and manufacturing destinations.
