Pavna Industries Ltd has marked a significant milestone in its growth journey by commencing construction of a new manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, signalling its strategic expansion into southern India. The automotive components manufacturer will invest around ₹50 crore in the first phase of the project, with commercial operations expected to begin later in 2026.

The Hosur facility is aimed at catering to original equipment manufacturers in the southern region, a market that has emerged as a key automotive and industrial hub in recent years. By establishing a local manufacturing base, Pavna Industries plans to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce logistics costs and respond faster to customer requirements.

Managing Director Swapnil Jain said the decision to locate the new plant in Hosur was driven by its proximity to major OEM customers across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and neighbouring states. He noted that the expansion would not only improve operational efficiency but also support regional economic development through employment generation and vendor ecosystem growth.

Founded in 1994 as Pavna Locks Ltd, the company has built a strong presence in the automotive components space, supplying parts for passenger vehicles, two wheelers, three wheelers, commercial vehicles and off road vehicles. Its product portfolio includes ignition switches, fuel tank caps, latches, auto locks, oil pumps, throttle bodies and casting components.

Pavna Industries currently operates manufacturing facilities in Aligarh, Aurangabad and Pantnagar, serving leading automotive brands such as Bajaj, Honda, TVS Motor, Mahindra, Royal Enfield, Ashok Leyland and Eicher Motors. The addition of the Hosur plant is expected to further strengthen its relationships with OEMs, particularly those with large production bases in southern India.

Beyond the domestic market, Pavna Industries also has an established export presence, supplying products to countries including Italy, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Sudan, the United States and Bangladesh. The company’s continued investments reflect its focus on long term growth, capacity expansion and geographic diversification.

Industry observers see the Hosur project as a timely move, aligning with the broader shift of automotive manufacturing and supplier networks towards southern India. With infrastructure development, skilled manpower and strong OEM concentration, Hosur offers a favourable environment for sustained industrial growth.
