Highway infrastructure solutions company Markolines Pavement Technologies has won a ₹100-crore road maintenance contract in Andhra Pradesh from Trans Metalite India. The project involves patch repair works and will be executed over five years.
This latest order strengthens the company’s growing portfolio. So far in the current financial year, Markolines has bagged multiple contracts worth ₹97.47 crore, including repeat business from Varanasi Aurangabad NH-2 Tollway. Founder and CMD Sanjay Patil said the repeat orders highlight client confidence and the company’s ability to deliver customised, innovative maintenance solutions.
“As an integrated highway maintenance solutions company, we focus on innovative, customised services for our clients. The strength of our current order book is a reflection of the faith our clients have in us, and we expect it to expand further with the continued infrastructure push,” Patil said.
Markolines currently has an unexecuted order book of over ₹400 crore, which is expected to translate into revenues in the next 12–24 months. Analysts believe that this kind of pipeline leads to revenues that can relatively easily be forecasted in an infrastructure sector that is being contributed to continuously by government and private developers.
Markolines is operationally based in Mumbai. It focuses on operations and maintenance (O&M) services on highways. It covers preventive maintenance, micro-surfacing and cold in-place recycling – disciplines aimed at prolonging the life of roads and reducing costs over the life cycle. The company has created its niche by focusing on maintaining highways for a long time rather than just building them anew, correlating with the increased emphasis of the government in maintaining the quality of the roads along with their expansion.
Now, another entry in the rewards portfolio of the company is the Andhra Pradesh order worth ₹100 crore. Such orders keep growing in number as the company has been scaling itself in the last few years. Highway expansion and maintenance are prioritized infrastructure projects in India’s infrastructure development drive, and companies like Markolines can thrive on the continuous maintenance requirement.
The company expects its robust order book, repeat contracts, and sectoral tailwinds to support revenue growth over the next two years, reinforcing its role as a key player in specialised highway O&M solutions.
