Lemon Tree Hotels has strengthened its presence in Andhra Pradesh with the signing of a hotel operations agreement for a new property in Tirupati, one of India’s most prominent spiritual destinations. The upcoming hotel will be operated by Carnation Hotels, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels, under the brand name Lemon Tree Suites.
Strategically located in Tirupati, the hotel is designed to cater to the steady influx of pilgrims, business travellers and tourists visiting the temple town throughout the year. Tirupati is globally renowned for the Sri Venkateswara Temple, which attracts millions of devotees annually, making hospitality infrastructure a critical component of the city’s urban ecosystem.
The Lemon Tree Suites Tirupati will feature 228 well-appointed rooms and suites, offering a blend of comfort, functionality and contemporary design. In addition to accommodation, the property will house a restaurant, banquet and meeting facilities, along with recreational amenities such as a swimming pool and spa. These features position the hotel to serve not only pilgrims but also families, tour groups and corporate guests seeking quality hospitality in the region.
Connectivity is another key advantage of the project. The hotel is located approximately 10 km from Tirupati International Airport and around 6.3 km from the Tirupati railway station, ensuring easy access for guests arriving by air, rail or road. Its location aligns with Lemon Tree Hotels’ strategy of developing properties in high-demand destinations with strong travel fundamentals.
Commenting on the development, Vilas Pawar, CEO – Managed and Franchise Business, Lemon Tree Hotels, said the signing reflects the group’s focus on expanding its pilgrimage portfolio in destinations with deep cultural and spiritual significance. He noted that Andhra Pradesh already has six operational Lemon Tree properties, with three more in the pipeline, underlining the company’s long-term commitment to the state.
The Tirupati project is expected to enhance the overall hospitality landscape of the city by offering branded, organised accommodation at scale. As pilgrimage travel continues to grow alongside improved connectivity and urban infrastructure, demand for reliable hotel brands remains strong.
With this addition, Lemon Tree Hotels continues to reinforce its position as one of India’s leading hotel chains, combining strategic locations, efficient operations and a clear focus on emerging travel and pilgrimage hubs.
