KG Builders Launches Two Plotted Residential Projects in Western Chennai

Chennai’s western growth corridor continues to attract strong real estate interest as infrastructure development accelerates across the region. In line with this trend, Chennai-based real estate developer KG Builders has announced the launch of two new plotted residential communities in Kuthambakkam and Valarpuram near Thandalam.

The projects, named KG Fields of Fortune in Kuthambakkam and KG Kingdom of Prosperity in Valarpuram, form part of the company’s larger plotted development portfolio in western Chennai. Together, these developments span a significant land parcel within the region and represent an estimated Gross Development Value of approximately ₹400 crore.

Western Chennai has emerged as one of the most promising residential corridors in the city, driven largely by large-scale infrastructure investments and improved connectivity. The Valarpuram–Thirumazhisai belt in particular has seen increasing demand from homebuyers and investors looking for plotted developments with long-term appreciation potential.

Several key infrastructure projects are contributing to the growth of this corridor. Among them is the Poonamallee Metro extension under Chennai Metro Phase II, which is expected to significantly improve public transport connectivity to the western suburbs. The Chennai–Bengaluru Expressway is another major project expected to enhance intercity connectivity and reduce travel time between the two major economic hubs.

In addition, the proposed Kuthambakkam Bus Terminus is set to become an important transport hub for the western part of the city. The proposed Greenfield Airport at Parandur is also expected to transform the region into a major economic and logistics zone in the coming years.

According to Haresh Kishor, Managing Director of KG Builders, the western Chennai corridor is witnessing a unique convergence of infrastructure developments that is rapidly reshaping the residential landscape of the region. Improved connectivity and upcoming transport infrastructure are creating strong demand for plotted developments among both end-users and investors.

With increasing infrastructure investments and expanding urban growth beyond the traditional city core, western Chennai is expected to remain a key hotspot for real estate development in the coming years. Developers are increasingly focusing on plotted communities in these emerging corridors to cater to the growing demand for independent homes and long-term investment opportunities.
