Jaya Hind Industries Expands Chennai Aluminium Die Casting Facility with ₹200 Crore Investment

Jaya Hind Industries has initiated a major expansion of its aluminium die casting manufacturing facility in Chennai, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy. The project was formally launched with a ground breaking ceremony at the plant located in Thiruvallur district, underscoring the company’s long term confidence in Tamil Nadu as a key manufacturing hub.

The expansion will be carried out with an investment of approximately ₹200 crore and is designed to substantially enhance the plant’s production capabilities. As part of the project, the facility will be equipped with advanced high pressure die casting machines ranging from 1,400 tonne to 4,400 tonne. These machines will allow Jaya Hind Industries to manufacture a wider range of aluminium components, including internal combustion engine parts, electric vehicle components and large structural castings that require high precision and strength.

A key element of the expansion is the addition of a new 13,000 square metre shed, which will house state of the art machinery and expanded machining capacity. The company is also strengthening its focus on vertical integration by incorporating critical processes such as machining, heat treatment and powder coating within the plant. This integrated approach is expected to improve quality control, reduce dependency on external vendors and enhance overall operational efficiency.

The decision to expand the Chennai facility is driven by a strong and growing order pipeline from both domestic and export markets. Jaya Hind Industries serves global clients such as Cummins and Generac, while also supplying to leading Indian original equipment manufacturers including TVS Motor Company. With demand rising for lightweight aluminium components, especially in electric vehicles and advanced automotive applications, the company sees sustained growth opportunities ahead.

Upon completion of the expansion, the Chennai plant’s annual production capacity is expected to reach around 20,000 tonne. The project is also likely to create additional employment opportunities and contribute to the industrial development of the Thiruvallur region.

Industry analysts note that this investment aligns with broader trends in India’s manufacturing sector, including the push for electric mobility, higher exports and value added production. For Jaya Hind Industries, the expansion further strengthens its position as a trusted supplier in both traditional and next generation mobility segments.
