IHCL Expands in Bengaluru as Sarovar Strengthens North India Presence

India’s hospitality sector continues to witness steady expansion as leading hotel groups strengthen their footprint across high growth markets. The Indian Hotels Company Ltd has announced the signing of a 115 key SeleQtions hotel in Devanahalli, Bengaluru, marking the brand’s strategic entry into one of the country’s fastest growing hospitality hubs. The project involves the conversion of a standalone resort, with plans to scale up inventory to 120 keys.

Located near Kempegowda International Airport, Devanahalli has emerged as a major infrastructure and investment corridor driven by airport expansion, business parks, and upcoming residential developments. IHCL’s move reflects a calibrated strategy to tap into rising corporate travel, technology sector demand, and evolving leisure preferences in Bengaluru. With this addition, IHCL’s portfolio in the city will expand to 20 hotels, including several under development, reinforcing its long term commitment to the market.

In a parallel development, Sarovar Hotels has strengthened its presence in north India with the launch of two new properties. The company has opened the 90 key Golden Tulip Kukas Jaipur and the 70 key Skywings Sarovar Portico Mathura. Both destinations continue to attract strong leisure, pilgrimage, and wedding related travel demand.

Jaipur remains a preferred destination for domestic and international tourists due to its heritage appeal and vibrant wedding market. Mathura, on the other hand, maintains consistent visitor inflow as a prominent pilgrimage centre. Sarovar Hotels now operates 150 hotels across 87 destinations in India and overseas markets, reflecting its steady expansion across tier one and tier two cities.

Together, these developments underline sustained investor confidence in India’s hospitality landscape. With business travel recovering, leisure tourism growing, and regional destinations gaining prominence, hotel operators are positioning themselves to capture diversified demand segments and long term growth opportunities.
