Horizon Industrial Parks Strengthens South India Presence with Rapid Expansion Across Key Logistics Hubs

Horizon Industrial Parks, a Blackstone backed company, has emerged as one of the most influential industrial and logistics developers in South India. In just four years, the company has built a strong presence across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana, with a network of seventeen industrial and logistics parks. Together, these parks cover a total leasable area of twenty four million square feet, making Horizon the largest organised logistics player in the region.

The company’s growth has been driven largely by its strategic focus on South India, particularly Tamil Nadu. The Chennai region has seen remarkable expansion over the past two years, during which Horizon added seven new sites. These include important in city logistics assets in Chromepet and Virugambakkam that are designed to support rapid delivery, fulfilment and urban distribution.

Across the wider South Indian market, Horizon’s network stretches across Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. The company has built a balanced mix of first mile industrial clusters and last mile consumption zones, enabling both manufacturing activity and efficient logistics operations. Of the seventeen parks, three are designed specifically as in city assets for quick fulfilment.

Horizon is also developing significant build to suit facilities for major global and domestic clients. In Tamil Nadu, the company is constructing a four lakh square foot facility in Chengalpattu for Yazaki India, a leading Japanese manufacturer of wiring harnesses and auto components. In Hosur, Schneider Electric has signed up for a large facility of nearly point seven million square feet that will be developed in two phases. The first phase is expected to be operational by January twenty twenty six and will generate employment for about fifteen hundred people.

In Karnataka, Horizon recently leased three lakh square feet to Scootsy, the logistics arm of Swiggy, at its Dobaspet I park near Bengaluru.

According to CEO Urvish Rambhia, the company focuses on centralised design standards, predictable construction timelines and integrated services that help large tenants scale quickly. With demand in South India rising faster than organised supply, Horizon is positioning itself as a reliable, multi city logistics partner for long term growth.
