Facebook India strengthens Hyderabad presence with new office lease in Hitec City

Facebook India Online Services Pvt Ltd has taken a significant step in expanding its operational footprint in Hyderabad by leasing close to 69,702 square feet of premium office space in the city’s Hitec City area. The transaction further underlines Hyderabad’s rising importance as one of India’s leading global capability centre destinations and a preferred base for multinational technology companies.

The office space has been leased for a five year period at the Skyview 20 building within The Skyview complex, a well known commercial development in one of Hyderabad’s prime IT corridors. The lease comes with a monthly rental commitment of nearly ₹67 lakh and includes around 70 dedicated car parking slots, offering convenience for employees and visitors alike. The agreement also involves a security deposit of approximately ₹4 crore, reflecting continued confidence in the city’s commercial real estate market.

The location provides strong connectivity advantages. Tirupati International Airport is easily accessible, while major residential and commercial zones are well connected through arterial roads and public transport networks. Such infrastructure strengths have played a key role in Hyderabad emerging as a competitive alternative to Bengaluru for global firms setting up or expanding their India operations.

This is not the first major real estate commitment by Facebook India in the city. In 2024, the company renewed leases for large office spaces within the same Skyview complex, signalling a long term strategy to consolidate and grow its presence in Hyderabad. Industry observers note that consistent expansion by global technology players is a strong indicator of sustained occupier confidence.

Hyderabad’s office market has closed 2025 on a firm footing, supported by steady demand from global capability centres across sectors such as technology, BFSI, consulting, healthcare and entertainment. Real estate experts point out that the city has benefited from a combination of skilled talent availability, competitive office rentals, progressive state policies and high quality infrastructure.

With companies like Facebook continuing to commit to large scale office leases, Hyderabad’s position as a key technology and GCC hub is expected to strengthen further. The trend also bodes well for the city’s commercial real estate ecosystem, supporting long term growth, employment generation and investor confidence.
