The biggest real estate exhibition in Chennai, CREDAI Fairpro 2025, will take place from February 14 to February 16 at the newly built Chennai Trade Centre. The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, with actor Trisha Krishnan serving as the event’s brand ambassador.
The 17th edition of Fairpro will serve as a one-stop-shop for homebuyers and showcase over 500 projects covering 32.5 million sq. ft. of a residential area, 0.25 million sq. ft. of commercial space, and 325 acres of plotted developments.
Touted as one of the largest home expos, the exhibition will showcase more than 80 reputed builders and the properties they offer, catering to every segment from budget homes to luxury apartments, and is being organized by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) Chennai. This year, banks are dishing up the incentive to homebuyers to sweeten the deal even more. On-the-spot, in-principal loan sanctions will be available at the exhibition, the State Bank of India (SBI) said.
Speaking to the media, M.V.R. Murali Krishna, General Manager, SBI Chennai Circle, Network 1, emphasized that this is an ideal time to invest in real estate. “Our stall at Fairpro 2025 will feature an in-house legal team to clarify buyers’ legal concerns. Additionally, properties under auction will be showcased, providing more opportunities for buyers,” he added.
Chennai’s real estate market remains robust, with property prices rising by 6.5% and unsold inventory hitting a seven-year low. S. Sivagurunathan, advisor for Fairpro 2025, attributed this trend to infrastructure growth, including Metro Rail expansion projects.
Emphasising Chennai’s economic power, Murali Krishna pointed out that the city generates 8.8% of the country’s GDP and is one of the largest manufacturing hubs in the country. With the recent Tamil Nadu Government’s vision of a $1 trillion economy by 2030, urbanization is set to get a boost, which can have a positive bearing on the housing sector as well.
Mohamed Ali, President of CREDAI Chennai, emphasized the city’s dominance in South India’s real estate market, with CREDAI developers holding an 82.6% residential market share. Meanwhile, P. Kruthivas, convenor of Fairpro 2025, pointed to the growing demand for sustainable and smart homes, reflecting a shift toward eco-friendly and technology-driven housing.
Fairpro 2025 is expected to be a landmark event, providing potential homeowners with a unique opportunity to explore properties, secure financing, and make informed investment decisions.
