Chennai-based real estate developer Casagrand has taken its first step into the Pune residential market with its Maharashtra and West Indian entry. The company has purchased two prime land sites in Upper Kharadi and Wagholi and plans to develop nearly 3 million sq.ft of high-end residential space within these areas.

The move is part of the bigger growth strategy of Casagrand and reflects a strong bet on Pune’s evolving real estate landscape. Both the projects are likely to be luxury residential complexes, in tune with the city’s rising demand for high-end housing.

“Pune is soon becoming one of India’s most exciting luxury residential hotspots,” noted Arun MN, Founder and Managing Director at Casagrand. “With the presence of high-net-worth individuals, come-back NRIs, and the strong IT, financial service, and manufacturing sectors, there is huge demand being generated for quality living space.”

He further stated that Pune’s infrastructurally rapidly improving and increasingly connected as well as its cosmopolitan population make it a desirable destination for high-quality residential developments.

Casagrand, which has a presence in South India with more than 140 real estate ventures till now, has been considering West India as a part of its national growth strategy. The projects in Pune are approximated at a development value of about ₹3,000 crore.

With this foray, Casagrand enters the list of South Indian developers who have been making a strong presence in the Pune market in recent years, with enhanced traction from end-users as well as investors.

The firm plans to launch both projects shortly, with its emphasis on providing well-thought-out homes and contemporary amenities that resonate with the changing lifestyle choices of urban buyers.
