Bengaluru-based real estate major Brigade Group has plans to invest ₹1,500 crores in Kerala, bolstering its presence in the State’s commercial, housing and hospitality sectors. That expansion is projected to create about 12,000 jobs in five years.
The company’s commitment was formalized with the submission of an Expression of Interest (EOI) at the Invest Kerala Global Summit 2025 in the presence of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. This investment will cover the second World Trade Center (WTC) of the state, Kochi a residential project and a luxury island resort in Vaikom.
Growing the Commercial & IT Hub of Kerala:
The proposed second WTC will further fuel the state’s booming IT and business ecosystem and will complement Brigade’s existing WTC Kochi. The Kerala government has promised to support the project from a regulatory perspective subject to the provisions of laws.
Last month, Brigade had also signed a MoU with Technopark for a WTC in Thiruvananthapuram. This project will deliver 1.5 million sq. ft. of IT infrastructure over several towers, consolidating Kerala’s place as an IT and innovation hub.
Increase in Hospitality & Residential Segments:
Brigade is also eyeing Kerala’s flourishing hospitality segment with a luxury island resort at Vaikom that targets the state’s burgeoning tourism industry. The company is also working on a new residential project in Kochi, in response to increasing demand for premium housing in this region.
The company has also commenced expansion of WTC Kochi at Infopark with a third tower under development, crossing million sq. ft.
Brigade’s Vision for Kerala:
On this development, Vineet Verma, MD, WTC Trades & Projects (Brigade Group), commented, “With the pro-business environment in Kerala, the state remains one of the focus areas across commercial, IT office space, hospitality and residential developments. The vibrant ICT/ITES sector and the booming tourism industry in the state provide tremendous growth opportunities.”
Founded in 1986, Brigade Group is one of South India’s leading property developers with several major landmarks in its portfolio across the cities of Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kochi. It was the company’s investment in Kerala, and strong presence in the region that reaffirmed its long-term promise to contribute to the area’s economic and infrastructural growth.
