Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries, H.D. Kumaraswamy, today unveiled the official logo, brochure, and website for Bharat Steel at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This is an important step toward the preparations for the biggest steel gathering in India. Secretary (Steel) Sandeep Poundrik and other senior officials of the Ministry of Steel were present.

The unveiling was held during a workshop for the secondary steel sector, which showed government determination toward growth, innovation, and sustainability through the steel value chain. The Ministry’s prominent international conference and exhibition on the steel ecosystem will be organized under the title Bharat Steel on April 16-17, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

This two-day program will be the mega event that promises the presence of top international leaders from the steel industry, policymakers, technology providers, and investors to project India’s potential in steel-making and stimulate green and sustainable production processes and mark areas for finding market opportunities within India and globally.

Key highlights would cover thematic sessions, sectoral and state-level roundtables, country-specific discussions, CEOs’ conference, technology showcases, and buyer-seller meets. The platform is expected to reach participants from both primary and secondary sectors of steel with a heavy emphasis on technological innovation, sustainable production, and strengthening supply chain linkages.

The organizers have stated that Bharat Steel is envisioned to be the largest steel exhibition in India and to become an international event of great significance. This steel exhibition will be a nucleus for collaboration, investment, and policy dialogue, which puts India at the forefront of global steel production and technology adoption.

The registrations are open, and the participation details for companies, delegations, and industry stakeholders are now available with the launch of the official website www.bharat.steel.gov.in.

With India being the second-largest steel producer in the world, the Ministry of Steel intends to use Bharat Steel 2026 to consolidate the position of the country in the global steel supply chain and promote climate-friendly practices, ultimately attracting investments in value-added products.
