Aurionpro Solutions has secured a vital contract from the Chennai Metro Rail Corporation (CMRL) to install advanced Automated Fare Collection (AFC) systems for Phase II of the Chennai Metro. The contract covers AFC implementation for Corridor 3 (Sholinganallur to Sipcot) and Corridor 5 (Koyambedu to Elcot Park), supporting the city’s growing public transit needs along its bustling IT corridor.
Aurionpro’s role includes designing, manufacturing, and installing secure, high-capacity AFC systems for streamlined ticketing and fare management. These systems aim to improve the commuter experience, promising enhanced convenience and efficiency. The project entails a comprehensive delivery approach, including testing, commissioning, training, and long-term maintenance and support services.
This initiative highlights Aurionpro’s commitment to “Make in India,” with automated swing gates to be produced at its Ghaziabad facility.
