Tollywood star Allu Arjun has come under the scanner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) after civic officials flagged alleged illegal construction at his commercial property in Jubilee Hills. The property, known as Allu Business Park, is situated on Road No. 45 and serves as the base for Geetha Arts, Allu Arts, and several other business ventures linked to the actor’s family.

According to GHMC’s Circle-18 office, permission was originally granted for construction on a plot measuring about 1,226 square yards. The sanctioned plan allowed for two cellars along with a ground plus four floors (G+4). However, a recent inspection revealed that an additional extension was made on the fourth floor without official approval.

Taking note of this violation, Circle-18 Deputy Commissioner Sammaiah ordered an enquiry and issued a show-cause notice to Allu Arjun and his family members. The notice seeks an explanation as to why the unauthorized structure should not be demolished. Officials have also warned that strict action will follow if the explanation is deemed unsatisfactory.

Allu Business Park, which was completed about two years ago, has become a key location for the family’s entertainment-related operations. Geetha Arts, one of South India’s most prominent film production companies, along with Allu Arts, operates from the premises. The latest allegations of an illegal extension have now placed the building under civic scrutiny.

GHMC has recently intensified its drive against unauthorized constructions across Hyderabad, especially in upscale neighborhoods such as Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills. Authorities have repeatedly emphasized that regulations apply to everyone equally, regardless of fame or influence.

So far, Allu Arjun and his family have not commented publicly on the issue. The timing of the notice has drawn attention as the actor is currently enjoying nationwide popularity following the massive success of Pushpa: The Rise. With work on its much-awaited sequel underway, the controversy has added an unexpected twist to the star’s otherwise celebrated career.

The civic body’s next steps will depend on the actor’s response, but the possibility of demolition has already generated widespread debate in Hyderabad’s real estate and film circles.
