Action Construction Equipment and Sanghvi Movers have entered into a strategic memorandum of understanding in Bengaluru aimed at strengthening India’s capabilities in the heavy lifting and crane manufacturing ecosystem. The collaboration focuses on expanding the use of indigenously manufactured heavy slew cranes, including advanced truck cranes and crawler cranes, across large industrial and infrastructure projects nationwide.
The agreement marks a significant step for India’s rapidly evolving heavy equipment landscape. For many years, high-capacity cranes used in power, steel, petrochemical and large infrastructure projects were largely imported, increasing project costs and extending delivery timelines. Through this MoU, both companies aim to reverse that trend by building confidence in locally engineered equipment and demonstrating the performance and reliability of Indian-made lifting solutions.
As part of the partnership, Sanghvi Movers, one of India’s largest crane rental and logistics players, will expand its operational fleet with cranes manufactured by Action Construction Equipment. This move is expected to give major project developers greater access to cost-efficient machinery while enhancing supply chain predictability, service availability and on-ground deployment speed. Industry analysts view this collaboration as a strong signal that domestic manufacturers are now capable of meeting high-capacity lifting demands with competitive quality.
Beyond fleet expansion, the initiative aligns with India’s broader goal of becoming a global hub for heavy lifting technology. By encouraging adoption of indigenous cranes, the partnership is expected to support skill development, promote technology upgrades and improve operational standards across the sector. It also strengthens the country’s positioning at a time when industrial investments, green energy projects and large-scale construction activities continue to grow.
For project developers across India, this collaboration promises a more dependable supply of equipment, competitive pricing and faster turnaround times. For India’s manufacturing sector, it underscores rising confidence in domestic engineering and the nation’s ability to match global capabilities in critical heavy equipment.
