Tinna Rubber and Infrastructure has taken a step towards expanding its recycling operations, registering 19 acres of land in Andhra Pradesh for a proposed integrated recycling complex estimated to cost ₹250 crore. The company is also undertaking due diligence on an additional 21 acres, which would complete the planned 40-acre site.

The proposed facility is expected to bring several recycling activities under one roof, including tyre recycling, plastic recycling, pyrolysis and the production of recovered Carbon Black. The project reflects the growing industrial focus on recovering useful materials from waste streams and developing value-added products from discarded resources.

The registration of the initial 19 acres marks progress on the land acquisition front. However, the remaining 21 acres are still subject to due diligence, and the available information does not establish that the entire land parcel has been acquired. The overall development will therefore depend, in part, on the completion of the outstanding land-related process.

An integrated facility of this nature could support the recovery and reuse of materials that would otherwise require disposal. Tyres and plastics present particular recycling challenges because of their composition and the processes needed to convert waste into commercially useful outputs. Pyrolysis is one of the technologies used to process certain waste materials under controlled conditions, while recovered Carbon Black can serve as an industrial material in suitable applications.

For manufacturers, the wider appeal of recycling projects lies in their potential to create value from waste while supporting more efficient resource use. The commercial performance of such facilities, however, depends on factors including feedstock availability, processing efficiency, product quality, operating costs and demand from downstream industries.

The proposed ₹250 crore investment places the Andhra Pradesh project among Tinna Rubber’s planned industrial expansion initiatives. Its eventual scale and contribution will depend on the development schedule, completion of land acquisition and execution of the proposed operations.

The project also highlights the role of industrial recycling infrastructure in connecting waste management with manufacturing. As companies explore ways to recover materials and develop secondary raw material streams, facilities combining multiple processes could offer operational advantages, provided they can secure consistent supplies and viable markets for their output.

Further clarity on the project’s construction timeline, commissioning schedule and production capacity will help establish how quickly the proposed complex can move from land acquisition to commercial operations.
