Karnataka has approved 83 industrial projects involving a combined investment of ₹6,252.86 crore, in a move that is expected to strengthen industrial activity across the state and create 30,054 jobs.
A key feature of the latest approvals is the emphasis on taking investment beyond Bengaluru. Of the 83 projects cleared by the State Level Single Window Clearance Committee, 69 are planned outside Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts. The approvals align with the state government’s Beyond Bengaluru initiative, which seeks to encourage industrial growth in other regions.
The committee meeting was chaired by Karnataka Large and Medium Industries Minister M B Patil. The projects span several sectors, including integrated industrial parks, aerospace and defence manufacturing, food processing, information technology services and renewable energy.
Projects involving investments of more than ₹50 crore account for the largest share of the latest approvals. A total of 24 projects in this category involve investments of ₹4,702.99 crore and are expected to generate 25,170 jobs.
Another 57 projects, with investments ranging between ₹15 crore and ₹50 crore, involve a combined ₹1,291.87 crore and are expected to create 4,884 jobs. Two additional projects involving investments below ₹15 crore account for ₹258 crore.
Among the larger proposals is an integrated industrial park and mixed-use township planned by Jaswin Ventures Private Limited in Doddaballapura taluk of Bengaluru Rural district. The project involves ₹475 crore and is expected to create around 12,000 jobs.
Jampana Construction Private Limited has proposed another integrated industrial park in Doddaballapura, with warehousing, logistics, residential and commercial components. The ₹465-crore project is expected to generate about 2,500 jobs.
Other companies receiving project approvals include Leafiniti BioEnergy, Blueline Foods India, Sonder Projects and Lands, Arete 22 Limited and Sunstar Precision Forge.
The latest clearances come as Karnataka seeks to build a wider industrial base beyond its capital. While Bengaluru remains the state’s dominant technology and business centre, the government is increasingly looking to develop industrial opportunities in other districts by leveraging land availability, existing infrastructure and regional talent.
The spread of these projects could also support local supply chains and create employment closer to emerging industrial clusters. For Karnataka, the challenge now will be to convert these approvals into projects on the ground and sustain investment momentum across the state.
