Tata Steel reported a strong performance for the fourth quarter of FY26, with consolidated net profit attributable to owners rising 124.9% year on year to ₹2,925.74 crore. The company had posted a net profit of ₹1,300.81 crore in the same quarter last year. The sharp improvement was mainly supported by higher sales volumes in India, a better product mix and continued cost transformation measures across its operations.
Revenue from operations stood at ₹63,270.13 crore in Q4 FY26, registering a 12.5% increase from the year ago period. Sequentially, revenue improved from ₹57,002.40 crore, while net profit rose 8.8% from ₹2,688.70 crore in the previous quarter. The results underline the strength of Tata Steel’s India business at a time when global steel markets continue to face pricing pressure, supply chain disruption and geopolitical uncertainty.
Tata Steel India remained the key growth driver during the quarter. India turnover stood at ₹38,654 crore compared with ₹34,661 crore in Q4 FY25. The company also reported profit after tax of ₹4,640 crore from its India operations. Tata Steel said its India business delivered its best ever annual deliveries of 22.5 million tonnes in FY26, supported by demand across high value segments such as tubes, tinplate, colours and wires.
The company’s international operations showed mixed trends. Tata Steel Netherlands reported revenue of ₹17,016 crore, supported by higher deliveries, while EBITDA improved to ₹624 crore. Tata Steel UK reported revenue of ₹5,774 crore amid subdued demand, though its EBITDA loss narrowed compared with the previous year.
For FY26, Tata Steel’s consolidated revenue stood at ₹2.32 lakh crore, while net profit rose 215.6% to ₹10,793.87 crore. The company said benefits of around ₹10,868 crore from its cost transformation programme helped improve EBITDA margin by 320 basis points year on year.
Net debt declined by ₹2,285 crore to ₹80,144 crore. Tata Steel also announced an agreement to acquire an additional 23% stake in TM International Logistics for ₹335 crore, subject to regulatory approvals.
