Rossell Techsys Limited has announced a major expansion of its aerospace and defence manufacturing operations in Bengaluru as the company looks to strengthen its execution capabilities amid rising customer demand and growing programme requirements.

The company has leased an additional manufacturing facility near its existing operations in Bengaluru to support future growth across production, quality assurance, logistics and programme management activities. With this expansion, Rossell Techsys aims to significantly improve operational flexibility, throughput and supply chain efficiency.

According to the company, the expansion will add nearly 2.1 lakh square feet of proposed manufacturing capacity, taking its total potential operational footprint to more than 4.6 lakh square feet. Currently, Rossell Techsys operates across 2.55 lakh square feet, of which around 1.75 lakh square feet is already in active use.

The expansion will be carried out in two phases. In the first phase, around 1.4 lakh square feet is expected to become operational within the next four to five months. The second phase, comprising an additional 70,000 square feet, is expected to be completed over the following eight to twelve months.

Rossell Techsys has earmarked an investment of ₹30 crore for the expansion project. The company said the funding will be arranged through a combination of internal accruals and debt.

The Bengaluru-based expansion is expected to support multiple ongoing and upcoming aerospace and defence customer programmes. By securing a facility close to its current operations, the company expects to improve coordination between teams and streamline manufacturing execution.

Industry observers believe the expansion reflects growing opportunities in India’s aerospace and defence manufacturing ecosystem, supported by increased localisation, higher defence spending and rising global outsourcing demand.

Rossell Techsys stated that the move is part of its long-term strategy to strengthen manufacturing capabilities and scale operations efficiently to meet future growth requirements in the technology systems sector.
