Kerala Expands IT Infrastructure as Mini Tech Park Work Begins at Kozhikode Cyberpark

Kerala’s technology infrastructure landscape is set to expand further as a new mini tech park project begins at the Government Cyberpark in Kozhikode. The facility is being developed by Sandbox and marks the first private co developer initiative within the Cyberpark ecosystem. Officials confirmed that the land transfer and project commencement ceremony will take place on March 9, signalling the start of construction for the upcoming technology workspace.

The mini tech park is planned as a Grade A technology facility with a built up area of nearly 30000 square feet. It is designed to offer modern office infrastructure for technology companies startups global enterprises and global capability centres. With increasing demand for flexible and high quality workspaces across emerging technology hubs the project is expected to strengthen Kozhikode’s position in Kerala’s growing digital economy in the coming years.

The building will be developed as an eco friendly and energy efficient facility and is expected to receive LEED green certification. Planners say the workspace will feature contemporary amenities designed to support collaboration productivity and innovation. Such infrastructure has become increasingly important as companies look beyond major metropolitan cities and explore emerging locations that offer talent availability lower operational costs and improved quality of life for future growth and expansion.

Officials from Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited said the project will help create a vibrant technology environment within the Cyberpark campus. By encouraging private participation the initiative also reflects the state’s strategy of accelerating digital infrastructure development. The presence of global capability centres and startup ecosystems is expected to attract new investments and strengthen the technology sector across northern Kerala in the coming years ahead as growth momentum builds steadily.

Once completed the mini tech park is expected to provide high quality office space for technology firms startups and global companies seeking expansion opportunities in Kerala. Apart from supporting innovation driven businesses the project is also likely to generate employment and encourage regional economic development. Industry observers believe such developments will play a crucial role in positioning Kozhikode as a competitive technology destination for future investment and sustained regional growth in India.
