The Ministry of Steel has introduced its revamped official website to raise transparency, accessibility, and efficiency of operations. The new website is characterized by a state-of-the-art, user-friendly design and is packed with multiple significant features to serve stakeholders and the general public better.

The new website offers convenient access to principal sources such as policy papers, production statistics, industry studies, and information on government schemes. The site is made minimalist and more user-friendly to offer convenient access to content through any device.

One of the advantages is that the site features the best cyber security tools, protecting sensitive government information and providing the online presence of the Ministry to be complete.

It is also in line with the present Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW), continuing the government’s initiative of making accessibility a reality in the modern world, particularly for the disabled.

As a step towards increased inclusiveness, the website is available in several Indian languages, making it more accessible and allowing a larger section of the population to access the initiatives of the Ministry.

“This site is a big step in our vision of digital governance.”. It will be a meeting point for full and updated information relating to the steel sector,” Steel Secretary Shri Sandeep Poundrik said during the launch, joined by other top bureaucrats.

The ministry announced that the site would be updated with real-time data, updates on policies, and interactive tools to help industry participants, policymakers, as well as the general public.

Through the adoption of advanced features and adherence to digital norms of governance, the new site is a reflection of the government’s push for technologically empowered, transparent, and citizen-centered governance, particularly towards India’s steel sector development and sustainability.
