Raymond Group is making a significant push into high-precision manufacturing with plans to establish two global-scale facilities in Andhra Pradesh’s Anantapur district. With a total investment of approximately ₹1,000 crore, the initiative marks the company’s strategic expansion into aerospace and automotive sectors, promising substantial economic and employment benefits for the region.

The aerospace facility, spanning 47 acres at Gudipalli, will be developed under Raymond’s JK Maini Global Aerospace division. Meanwhile, the automotive unit at Tekulodu, managed by JK Maini Precision Technology, is set to strengthen Raymond’s presence in the high-precision automotive components market. Together, these projects are expected to generate around 5,400 direct employment opportunities.

The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved both proposals, highlighting strong state government support. Incentives worth ₹695 crore will back the projects, including ₹380 crore for the aerospace unit and ₹314 crore for the automotive facility. These benefits are aimed at fostering investment in advanced manufacturing and high-precision engineering, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a hub for technological innovation and industrial growth.

This expansion comes on the heels of Raymond’s entry into the aerospace sector through its 2023 acquisition of a controlling stake in Maini Precision Products (MPPL). The acquisition laid the groundwork for Raymond’s aerospace ambitions, providing expertise, infrastructure, and a skilled workforce for high-precision engineering.

The company’s strategic vision aligns with India’s broader industrial growth objectives, leveraging local talent and government incentives to drive high-value manufacturing. By establishing these world-class facilities, Raymond aims to enhance supply chain capabilities, improve technological competitiveness, and reinforce its leadership in precision engineering across aerospace and automotive sectors.

As Raymond continues to invest in innovation and skill development, these new facilities in Anantapur are set to become a benchmark for industrial excellence in India, supporting both regional employment and the country’s strategic manufacturing ambitions.
