Goel Construction Company has strengthened its position in India’s cement infrastructure segment after securing a service contract worth approximately Rs 86.50 crore from Dalmia Cement Bharat. The order pertains to the execution of main plant civil works for post clinkerisation activities at Dalmia Cement’s Kadapa L2 unit in Andhra Pradesh, according to people familiar with the development.
The scope of work includes critical civil construction activities required for the smooth functioning of the plant following clinker production. These works form an essential part of the overall manufacturing process, ensuring operational stability and readiness for downstream cement production. The project is scheduled to be completed within 11 months from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, highlighting the time bound nature of the assignment.
Industry observers note that post clinkerisation infrastructure plays a vital role in enhancing plant efficiency and output reliability. Civil works at this stage typically involve foundations, equipment support structures, and allied construction necessary to integrate mechanical and process systems. The successful execution of such projects requires technical expertise, coordination with multiple stakeholders, and adherence to strict safety and quality standards.
For Goel Construction Company, the latest order adds to its growing portfolio of industrial and infrastructure projects within the cement sector. The company has been steadily expanding its footprint by executing complex civil packages for leading cement manufacturers across India. Securing a contract from a major player such as Dalmia Cement Bharat further underlines its execution capabilities and credibility in handling large scale industrial assignments.
The cement sector continues to see sustained investments as manufacturers expand capacity and modernise plants to meet rising demand and efficiency benchmarks. Andhra Pradesh, in particular, remains a key hub for cement production due to the availability of raw materials and improving industrial infrastructure. Projects like the Kadapa L2 unit are expected to contribute to regional economic activity through employment generation and allied business opportunities.
With this contract, Goel Construction Company is expected to maintain momentum in its order book while reinforcing its role as a trusted partner for cement sector infrastructure development in India.
