EcoBox Industrial Parks, a subsidiary of Alta Cap, has made a significant move in expanding its footprint in the industrial infrastructure sector by acquiring 50 acres of land in Mannur, Chennai. It is very advanced, amounting to a 1.2 million square feet logistics facility and a strategic move to meet the growing demand for modern industrial space.

This will involve a new investment of Rs 400 crores to serve ever-growing logistics and industrial sectors in the region while enhancing supply chain connectivity across key industrial corridors. It marks another step forward for EcoBox in the development of India’s industrial infrastructure and service-changing needs in the fast-growing logistics and manufacturing sectors.

This acquisition is one amongst several in the broad expansion strategy for EcoBox, which recently took over management of 3.6 million square feet of industrial assets from IndoSpace, bringing its total area under its management to 4.8 million square feet. The pace of growth indicates how ambitious EcoBox is to be a major player in India’s industrial park development to help set in motion efficiency and innovation in the supply chain network.

The latest development from the company comes as a response to growing demand for sustainable, state-of-the-art logistics spaces supporting businesses in the quest for improving their operational efficiency. Modern, greenfield logistics assets form the bedrock of the strategy that positions EcoBox Industrial Parks to support an ever-increasing array of industries from manufacturing to e-commerce from a perspective of increasingly integrated and scalable infrastructure solutions.

The investment put into this will give a key boost to the regional economy in terms of producing employment and would help develop the city of Chennai as a nucleus for industrial, logistics, or other such hub activities.
