ProjectHero, a construction tech startup that raised $3.6 million from Ankur Capital, Omidyar Network, and Titan Capital, has launched HomeRun, a quick commerce platform providing 60-minute delivery of construction materials in Bengaluru. The service caters to contractors, professionals, and homeowners, offering over 800 SKUs of construction materials across 76 pin codes in the city.

HomeRun addresses key challenges faced by customers who rely on local vendors for construction supplies such as cement, hardware, and plywood. Traditional vendors often struggle with small order sizes and logistical inefficiencies. HomeRun eliminates these barriers with no-minimum-order deliveries, ensuring even small orders—like just one or two bags of cement—can be delivered without high transportation costs. The platform also enables on-demand delivery directly to construction sites, ensuring quick access to materials when needed unexpectedly.

“We’re bringing the same game-changing speed and customer experience to construction that quick commerce has already brought to groceries and gadgets,” said Satya Vyas, founder of HomeRun. “HomeRun isn’t just a platform; it’s our solution to the inefficiencies in material procurement for contractors and homeowners.”

HomeRun currently operates two live dark stores in Bengaluru, with plans to open three more in the next two months. The service is tapping into the surging demand for instant deliveries in India, a market projected to reach $5.5 billion by 2025 and $1.45 trillion by 2032.

Krishnan Neelakantan, partner at Ankur Capital, emphasized the platform’s impact, noting that delays in construction material procurement can significantly increase project costs. “HomeRun addresses a critical gap in the market by offering rapid deliveries that directly improve cost efficiency for construction projects,” he said.

With its quick delivery model, HomeRun is well-positioned to redefine Bengaluru’s construction industry, setting a new standard for convenience and speed in material sourcing.
