HIL, a business leader in building materials and one of the members of the $3 billion CK Birla Group, is rebranding itself as BirlaNu. The name change is the company’s statement of intent in embracing innovation, sustainability, and providing world-class solutions to the construction industry. With 32 manufacturing units spread across India and Europe and offices in more than 80 nations, BirlaNu believes in setting quality and reliability standards anew.

A New Name with a Bolder Vision
Avanti Birla, BirlaNu President, stressed that the new name signifies a new beginning and a new mission. “BirlaNu is who we are at our essence—a company that is always evolving. We believe in quality, innovation, and building products that last. Our customers, from homeowners to builders and designers, are still at the center of all we do.”. Whether it’s creating improved materials, enhancing sustainability, or rolling out new solutions, our task is to craft the future of construction,” she added.

Giant Expansion in Chennai and Green Initiatives
As a part of its growth model, BirlaNu has aggressively increased its AAC (Autoclaved Aerated Concrete) block manufacturing in Chennai. They have doubled its manufacturing capacity to 4Lakh cubic meters annually, becoming one of the biggest AAC block manufacturing plants in India. This will further consolidate its position in the green construction segment as AAC blocks are highly regarded for their higher thermal insulation, light weight, and energy efficiency.

Moreover, BirlaNu is leading sustainability-focused innovations such as introducing Organic Based Stabilizers (OBS) in UPVC pipe production. India’s first-of-its-kind effort removes heavy metals, making the process greener and giving extra strength to UPVC pipes that find application in buildings.

Entering into Premium Home & Interiors Market
BirlaNu is also planning a strategic entry into the home and interiors business. The firm will roll out Parador, its international premium flooring brand, in India. This strategy is in line with the growing demand for high-end, fashionable, and long-lasting flooring solutions in new-age homes and workplaces.

On a strong foundation of excellence, BirlaNu is ready to reshape industry standards and impart constructive change to the world of construction and it continues to focus on sustainability, innovation, and the provision of products that respond to the changing demands of the construction industry.
