The Wealth Company Asset Management, a Pantomath Group entity, has seeded the Bharat Bhoomi Fund — an ₹2,000-crore real estate thematic Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), to tap India’s increasing demand for real assets.
Launched in the Bharat Value Fund series, the fund is of base size ₹1,000 crore and has a green shoe facility of an additional ₹1,000 crore. The fund would be invested in ready-to-execute real estate development in core primary urban and infrastructure corridors such as the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), National Capital Region (NCR), Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
The fund will be invested in areas like mid-to-premium residential, data centers, warehouses, hotel properties, renewable energy parks, and plotted developments. The team has already identified a pipeline of six projects covering 1,200 acres of land.
Spearheaded by real estate veterans Rakesh Kumar and Bhavya Bagrecha, and backed by industry heavyweight Peter Sharp — former head of Walmart Asia Real Estate — the Bharat Bhoomi Fund aims to blend regulatory compliance with early exit visibility for investors.
“The strategy is sharply focused on scalable, high-potential projects that are ready for execution. We’re not betting on land speculation but on real, revenue-generating assets,” said Kumar.
The fund’s portfolio strategy stresses diversification, strong legal due diligence, and compliance to mitigate execution risks. It aligns with India’s broader “Made in India” vision, aiming to boost development in asset-heavy sectors with long-term economic significance.
With private equity interest returning to real estate post-COVID and infrastructure growth accelerating across Tier 1 cities, The Wealth Company sees this as a ripe opportunity to create value for investors seeking stable returns and capital appreciation.
The Bharat Bhoomi Fund marks The Wealth Company’s deepening foray into real estate investing and positions it as a key player in India’s alternative investment space.
