Asian Paints, one of India’s leading paint manufacturers, has achieved a major milestone in its global expansion strategy by commencing commercial production of white cement at its new manufacturing facility in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The operations officially began on October 12, 2025, under the company’s joint venture arm, Asian White Inc. FZE.

The newly commissioned facility has an annual production capacity of 2.65 lakh tonnes, focusing on the manufacturing and export of white cement and white cement clinker. This marks Asian Paints’ strategic entry into the cement segment, diversifying its portfolio beyond decorative paints and coatings into specialized construction materials.

To facilitate this international expansion, Asian Paints had earlier established two key entities — Asian White Cement Holding Limited (AWCHL), based in the Dubai International Financial Centre, and Asian White Inc. FZE, a wholly-owned subsidiary operating from the Fujairah Free Zone. These structures were formed during FY 2023–24, laying a solid foundation for the company’s foray into cement manufacturing.

The move is expected to help Asian Paints tap into the growing demand for premium white cement across the Middle East and African markets. Fujairah’s strategic location and access to global shipping routes make it an ideal hub for export-oriented production, allowing the company to serve both regional and international customers efficiently.

Industry experts see this diversification as a significant step in Asian Paints’ evolution from a paint and décor brand to a comprehensive building materials provider. White cement, known for its high brightness and strength, is widely used in architectural finishes, tiles, and precast applications — all key segments in the booming Gulf construction sector.

With this venture, Asian Paints aims to strengthen revenue diversification, improve profit margins, and enhance its competitive positioning in the global construction materials market. As production scales up, investors and industry observers will be closely watching how this strategic expansion contributes to the company’s long-term growth story.
