Andhra Pradesh to Boom in Real Estate: CM Chandrababu Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday expressing his vision of a booming real estate sector for the state again hammered home the importance of its well-laid-down foundation by laying down that very core- foundation is going to remain the strong policy framework friendly to the investors. Talking to a conference of realtors, he renewed the commitment of his government toward the transformation of Andhra Pradesh as a model state for construction and development.

“I have instructed Municipal Minister P Narayana to craft the best real estate policy in the country. Our goal is to ensure that the construction sector experiences unprecedented growth, free from hurdles,” Naidu stated. He urged the minister to study successful policies across India and integrate the best practices to position Andhra Pradesh as a preferred destination for real estate investments.

Naidu also assured the real estate community that his government is open to adopting superior policies from other states if they outperform Andhra Pradesh’s framework. “If any state implements a better policy, the TDP-led NDA government will embrace and adapt those guidelines to benefit our construction sector,” he affirmed.

Making a veiled jab at the YSRCP regime led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Naidu hinted that the real estate and construction sectors had taken quite a beating in the 2019-2024 period. Still, he acknowledged that his government, under Narayana, has been extensively consulting with the real estate fraternity to ease the regulations and process.

The Chief Minister assured stakeholders that all government departments associated with the construction sector, not just the Municipal Department, will take proactive measures to ease rules and facilitate growth.

Naidu’s remarks signal a renewed push to position Andhra Pradesh as a hub for real estate and construction, with policies designed to attract investors, foster industry appreciation, and drive economic development.
