Trump Media Announces Rs 1 Lakh Crore Investment Plan for Telangana’s Bharat Future City

TMTG Director Eric Swider

Trump Media and Technology Group has announced one of the largest foreign investment commitments in Telangana with a plan to invest Rs 1 lakh crore in the upcoming Bharat Future City. The announcement was made during the Telangana Rising Global Summit where TMTG Director Eric Swider praised the state’s economic transformation and the forward looking approach of the government.

Swider said the organisation intends to deploy the investment over the next ten years, covering real estate development, large scale infrastructure creation and technology driven projects within Bharat Future City. The initiative is expected to significantly boost Telangana’s global positioning as a preferred destination for long term capital and future ready industries.

The announcement also comes soon after the Telangana government’s symbolic move to name a road in Hyderabad’s Financial District after former US President Donald Trump. The gesture was viewed as an effort to strengthen ties with American investors and highlight the global branding potential associated with the Trump name. During the summit, state officials formally informed Swider of this development.

Swider, who earlier helmed Truth Social and Digital World Acquisition Corp, said he was deeply impressed by the state’s growth momentum over the last two years. He described Telangana as a place where global capital feels welcome and where meaningful transformation is encouraged. He also reiterated that investment decisions today must align with long term global impact and said that Telangana offers a compelling environment for such a vision.

Reflecting on his experience taking Truth Social public, Swider said the journey was shaped by a commitment to freedom of expression. He also highlighted India’s rise as a global technology powerhouse and noted that a significant share of the world’s tech talent originates from the country.

Telangana’s Special Chief Secretary for Industries Jayesh Ranjan confirmed that the investment will be spread across multiple sectors within Future City and will be implemented over a decade. The development is expected to enhance the state’s innovation ecosystem and accelerate its economic diversification efforts.
